Standown Park

Standown Park where vets are welcome to come and relax

Standown Park is the unique bush camping experience with new, modern facilities, where all campers, motor homers, caravaners and weary travelers are welcome to pull up a stump and meet your old friends or make new ones.

The emphasis here is on friendliness and relaxation where we hope you will feel a part of the place.
Situated on 18 lush green acres surrounded by the pine forest on two sides and pasture paddocks on the others, the park site has an abundance of trees attracting many species of birdlife.

We are just off the Tin Can Bay Highway so the Park is secure and with the picturesque mountains in the near distance, it is the ideal place for you to park your rig and rest while exploring the many attractions of the area.

    Hi,

I am ex British Army having served 23 years and rising to the rank of WO2, My wife and I have been in Australia for the last 16 years having spent 8 years in New Zealand prior to this. We now live in Glenwood and would like to find a campsite near to us for weekend getaways without travelling too far!! We have a very quiet dog (a female Boxer) who never barks and will be with us and under our control at all times. Would you be able to offer us a powered site for the night of Sat 21st Jan (ie next Saturday) ??

    Thanks,

    Mick Pound
